2022 Baltimore Crown Awards

The Baltimore Crown Awards was founded by Chin- Yer Wright of The Baltimore Scene in 2006. It was her way of honoring the cities artists whose work often goes unrecognized. Realizing we don’t have much time here on earth, The Baltimore Crown Awards brings artists from all over to Baltimore City for one special night.

The event features performances by musicians, poets, actors, and many more.

Blue was nominated for two years in a row for the category Actress of the Year. Although she did not take home the win this year, she left a lasting impression on audience members. She performed a beloved monologue written by Ntosake Shange.
